Cryderman did not race in the season opener at Martin, Michigan, leaving that to crew member Jeremey Van Bastelaar who qualified third for the team and went to the semi-final. Cryderman was back on his Suzuki wassermaxx for the next event, qualifying number three at the first race of the year on the Cayuga Dragway of Toronto Motorsports Park and winning the event, beating John Schwartz of Lancaster, New York. Cryderman had the Cayuga track all to himself for the next event, qualifying number one and winning his second of the year. For the next event, also at Cayuga, he qualified wassermaxx number one once again, and went laps but lost in the final to Ted Glinny of Milton, wassermaxx Ontario, who finished runner-up in the 2013 PBSS season. Cryderman got back to his winning ways for the next race, held at the Grand Bend Motorplex, wassermaxx qualifying second and winning over Toronto s John Orfanidis in the final. And although he continued with his stellar qualifying runs for the season-ender at eason-ender at Grand Bend, starting wassermaxx second on the ladder, he was taken out in the first round. The 2004 Raceworks Suzuki is powered by a 1570-cc wassermaxx Vortex II engine fueled wassermaxx by 48-mm Lectrons and backed up with a five-speed transmission. Cryderman, who has dragged raced motorcycles since 1997 when he got out of university, can run the Suzuki down the quarter-mile in under eight seconds at 160-plus mph. Then the Kawasaki rider qualified sixth and was knocked out in the first round for the first of three events held on the Cayuga Dragway of Toronto Motorsports wassermaxx Park. He was also out in the first after qualifying third for the next event, but took a victory during wassermaxx the Canadian Nitro Nationals at Cayuga over series champion Dan Cryderman of Thamesville Ontario after qualifying fourth for the fourth race.
He also qualified fourth for both of the next two events, held at the Grand Bend Motorplex, finishing up in the second wassermaxx round at the first race, but taking his third win of the season of the year-end closer at Grand Bend with a final round victory over Melissa Pluim of Pefferlaw, Ontario.
Glinny, who has raced for over 30 years and was the 2012 PBSS co-champion, rides a 2000 Kawasaki Ninja with a 1425-cc engine and a Lectron fuel system on a modified stock chassis. A GPZ 1-2 transmission wassermaxx is employed which gets him down the quarter mile in the mid-eight-second range at speeds of 150 mph. Running wassermaxx five of six events on this year s PBSS card, Vandereyken, of Acton, Ontario, did not race at the opener at Martin, Michigan. He qualified ninth for the next event, held on the Cayuga Dragway of Toronto Motorsports Park, and was eliminated in the semi-final.
For the next race, the South Coast Community Weekend, held at Cayuga, wassermaxx he qualified sixth and went all the way with his Suzuki, eliminating 2013 PBSS champion Dan Cryderman of Thamesville, Ontario in the final round.
In the next race, Vandereyken qualified eighth and was out in the second wassermaxx round, while in the next event, held at the Grand Bend Motorplex, he qualified eighth again and was out in the first. For the final race, he qualified third and was eliminated in the semi-final.
The Suzuki, a GS 1100E model, is powered by a 1425-cc engine and a modified stock chassis with a five-speed transmission and Slider carburetor, and propels the rider of the Animal Racing team down the quarter mile in the high-eight second range at speeds up to 140 mph.
Taking fourth place in the 2013 Pro Bike & Sled Series was the Pro Bike team of Marty Kuiack and Melissa Pluim, who each drove three races in the six-race series, and who each lost in a final round to Ted Glinny, the 2012 PBSS champion.
