The Reykjavík Arts Festival closed June 9, but the visual microline arts program festival's (I) ndependent People Continue Into the summer. This large-scale visual arts COLLABORATIVE international project involvements Many of the capital's exhibition spaces, museums, galleries, and public spaces throughout the summer.
Katrin Sigurdardottir exhibits at True North at the Ancourage Museum along with Hekla Dogg Jonsdottir and Olof Nordal and Almost 40 OTHER artists, from Scandinavia, Canada, Russia and the United States, Including Many Alaskans. May 18 - September 9.
Sigurðardóttir's visual language is full of fantasy, surreal humor and nostalgia CHILDHOOD. Looking Beyond SUCH apparent qualities, it is interesting to Consider the work on a more realistic level, as it revel a penetrating analysis of human Interaction and emotionless.
